How to use the product
How to apply the JOBST Maternity Support belt:
- Open the support belt. Before fitting, make sure that the label “Top” faces upwards.
- Position the support belt in the center of your lower back, then grasp both ends and pull to the front. The thumb loop on the left facilitates application of the support belt.
- Wrap the slightly tensed support belt around the lower abdomen and secure it using the hook-and-loop fasteners. Adjust the main belt’s closure until you feel comfortable support in the lower back and abdomen region.
- The elastic side straps located on the outside of the main belt allow further adjustment of the stability level. To do so, pull both straps simultaneously and secure the hook-and-loop fasteners on the main belt in a comfortable position.
- If necessary, both stabilizing elements at the back may be shaped to fit individually.
- Avoid any creases in the clothing underneath the belt.
- Fasteners may be adjusted individually depending on the situation and personal preference (e.g. when sitting down).
Other recommendations: After taking off the support belt or before re-application, the outer side straps should be attached loosely in their original position.
How to care for the product
To care for the JOBST Maternity Support belt, close all fasteners before washing. Machine wash at 30° C/86° F (delicate cycle) or hand wash in lukewarm water using mild detergent. Do not bleach, tumble dry, iron or dry clean belt. Dry at room temperature and make sure the belt is completely dry before re-applying.
